You must submit anaesthetic items in a specific order or claims will be rejected.

The list below lists the order to bill the items in.

 

1. Base unit value

2 0 1 0 0 to 2 1 9 9 7 or 2 2 9 0 0 to 2 2 9 0 5 if you’re the anaesthetist

2 5 2 0 0 and 2 5 2 0 5 if you’re the assistant anaesthetist

2 2 0 6 0 if you’re the perfusionist

 

2. Time unit value

3. Physical status modifier

2 5 0 0 0 to 2 5 0 1 0

 

4. Age modifier

2 5 0 1 5

 

5. Emergency modifier in hours

6. Therapeutic and diagnostic services

2 2 0 0 2 to 2 2 0 5 1 if you’re the anaesthetist, the assistant anaesthetist or the perfusionist

2 2 0 5 5 or 2 2 0 6 5 to 2 2 0 7 5 if you’re the perfusionist

 

7. Emergency modifier after hours

2 5 0 2 5 if you’re the anaesthetist

2 5 0 3 0 if you’re the assistant anaesthetist

2 5 0 5 0 if you’re the perfusionist
